Atlantic vs Claude Code

You direct it. Atlantic starts from your tickets.

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. You run it in a terminal, IDE, desktop app or browser, and you can start it from Slack, GitHub or a schedule you set. Atlantic starts from your tickets and support desk, picks one problem, tests the fix in a real browser and opens a pull request for you to review.

  • Browser test on video
  • Second-model review
  • Auto-merge is off by default

Same repository. A different finish line.

Both work on your repository. The difference is how work starts and what is checked before a person reviews it.

How work startsThree finders read your backlog, support desk and repository, each working blind. A judge picks one problem.A prompt, a mention in GitHub or Slack, or a trigger you set up: a schedule, an API call or a GitHub event (routines, in research preview). You write the instructions for what it picks up.
Browser testingBefore the pull request opens, a browser agent drives the change for up to 40 steps on a fresh preview machine, recorded on video. Can test a web app in a browser. The Chrome extension works from the CLI or your editor in your own browser, and the desktop app checks changes in a Browser pane by default.
Review of the changeA second model reviews the diff. Blockers go back for up to 2 fix cycles before the pull request opens. The /code-review command checks a branch before you push. Code Review (Team and Enterprise plans, research preview) reviews GitHub pull requests with several agents and posts inline comments. It does not approve or block a pull request.
Pull requests and mergingOpens pull requests on GitHub only. Atlantic never pushes to your default branch. Auto-merge stays off unless you turn it on for repositories you name.Creates branches and commits and opens pull requests. The desktop app can merge a pull request once checks pass, if you turn on auto-merge.
How you payA credit is used only when Atlantic opens a pull request. Failed and cancelled runs are free.Included in paid Claude plans (Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise) with usage limits, or paid per token through the API. Code Review is billed separately through usage credits.
